How do you change a course expiration date?

In order for the Cyber Range to offer our resources as effectively and efficiently as possible, course expiration dates should be set to soon after the end of a course. To do this:

  1. Go to the course homepage:

Access the Course Homepage by navigating to the Virginia Cyber Range Website, and proceed to click on the chosen course.

  2. Click the "Edit the Course" button:

The Edit the Course Button can be found on the top right of the Course Homepage, as the leftmost of the four buttons shown.

  3. The editing pop-up window will display with the default expiration date:

The pop-up window displays the default expiration date, just below the Course Name and Course Description.

  4. Select a new expiration date using the calendar feature:

The calendar feature can be found to the left of the displayed default expiration date.

  5. Confirm your changes to return to the course page.

A course requested from January to March should have an end date of May 31st, which can be extended to June 15th.

A course requested from April to May should also have an end date of May 31st, but can be extended to June 15th of the following year.

Any courses requested from June to July should have an end date of July 31st, which can be extended to June 15th of the following year.

A course requested from August to December should have an end date of December 16th, which can be extended to June 15th of the following year.
